Description

Marine Silicone Sealant is true 100% marine grade silicone to provide a durable, waterproof seal that will not crack, shrink or turn yellow. Retains flexibility for excellent adhesion to fiberglass, wood, glass, metal and some plastics. It is easy to apply and equally easy to remove when desired.

Features

  • Bonds to fiberglass, wood, glass, metal and some plastics; can be used above and below the waterline.
  • Provides waterproof, airtight bond, but can be easily removed; ideal for mounting deck hardware.
  • Not affected by sunlight, weathering, most chemicals or solvents.
  • Dries tack-free in less than one hour, cures completely in 24 hours; custom colors available.

Directions

Surface to be caulked must be clean, dry and oil free. Remove cap.  Puncture inner seal. Cut nozzle to desired opening with knife or razor blade. Hold nozzle at a slight angle to joint or seam and  apply firm, continuous pressure on tube to maintain an even flow of sealant. Squeeze from bottom of tube up, pushing caulk ahead of nozzle, so that the nozzle tools the sealant into the cracks or openings.  Additional tooling must be done immediately as the sealant surface will skin over in 10 minutes. Material is dry to the touch in 1 hour and fully cures in 24 hours.  Remove excess sealant immediately with a clean, dry cloth. On porous surfaces, dampen the cloth with paint thinner to remove excess sealant.  After use, remove nozzle and replace cap.  Let caulk in nozzle cure and remove cured plug before next use.
