It wasn’t just about the food—it was about showing up for the community and making sure everyone felt welcome.
The Art of Conservation
Fishing and art might seem like an unexpected pair, but for Star brite’s own Derek Redwine, they go hand-in-hand. Leading up to the event, Derek hit the water with Bobby Lane himself to catch bass, gather inspiration, and study their unique details. Using those real-life references, he created a stunning bass painting that was auctioned off at the tournament.
The result? A $3,000 donation to support the Bobby Lane Cup and its mission to inspire young anglers.
Conservation in Action
Protecting the waters we love is just as important as enjoying them. That’s why Star brite brought Project SeaSafe to the Bobby Lane Cup, leading conservation efforts that got everyone involved.
From mangrove and clam restoration to a lively trash clean-up contest, participants had the chance to give back to the waterways they fish. Equipped with Star brite mesh bags, anglers collected trash while on the water, proving that even small actions can make a big difference.
Family, Fishing, and the Next Generation
The heart of the Bobby Lane Cup is its focus on family and youth. With over 5,000 attendees, the event brought together anglers of all ages—from kids casting lines for the first time to seasoned pros sharing tips and stories.
The tournament raised over $70,000 for junior angler scholarships, directly supporting the next generation of anglers and outdoor enthusiasts.
