Raised in Satellite Beach, just north of Sebastian and Grant, he grew up fishing, surfing, and living the same waterways that define this region today. From competition at the highest level to life at home on the water, C.J. has always stayed connected to where it all started.

C.J. reached the pinnacle of competitive surfing by winning the 2001 World Surf League Championship. Known for his consistency, toughness, and ability to perform under pressure, he built a career competing against the best in the world.
