Inspect the cooling system for worn or damaged parts and replace them as needed. Tighten all clamps and connections securely. Drain and flush the cooling system thoroughly with clean water, following the manufacturer's instructions. Flush and empty the overflow reservoir if present. Use a radiator flush to remove rust and sludge if necessary. Close radiator and engine block drain plugs securely.
