Caution: Do not remove the radiator cap when the engine is hot.
1. Inspect the cooling system for leaks, loose connections, or worn parts.
2. Remove the radiator cap, open the radiator and engine block drains, then flush the system thoroughly with clean water.
3. Close the radiator and engine block drains once all water has been drained from the system.
4. Fill the radiator with the desired ratio of antifreeze and water (deionized water recommended) according to the vehicle manufacturer's instructions.
5. Replace the radiator cap securely and run the engine to operating temperature, checking for leaks.
6. Top off the coolant level as needed.
